I take this stuff seriously and will NEVER sell your info. Until they fix their business practices and whatever causes that painfully slow loading, I think "free" is too expensive for an everything bundle.Don't worry - I will only send you information about how to make your music sound amazing. There are a couple plugins that they make that I really like and would continue using.but only if they were made by a different company. Literally lost nothing else.just Waves licenses. The computer wound up fine, but I had to change things to the point that the machine ID changed. And, I've lost access to my Waves plugins for most of a year before because of some computer failures combined with them not letting you recover a license more than once a year. They can add about a minute to some DAWs starting up even if you're not using them. Have you worked with their plugins? What bundles you what recommend the most? Are they worth the money? I don't think those prices are particularly special. Plug-in Alliance is great too, with great sounding emulations. Native Instruments has some surprisingly good compressors and EQs within their Komplete bundle. I’d echo everyone’s sentiments though that you should then save up for FabFilter’s stuff or other products. If you’re just starting out, Waves can be great to get you going. ![]() Waves isn’t a bad producer of plugins, but like everyone here says, their upgrade plan is atrocious. I’m sure they can sound quite good when used right. Once you get a good command of your basic eq, compression, etc., you can try their gimmick products. Maserati and them can sound great, but if you don’t really know what these plugins are designed for, you can get lost and confused. The only thing I’d advise is not to get the gimmicky products. The Renaissance bundle might work best if you want to maximize your money for the most useful products. They literally do what they are supposed to do, and they sound as they are supposed to sound. Same with the F6(? The multiband eq… can’t remember the name). I know the Puigchild is based on Puig’s modified Fairchild, but it sounds great. The Puigchild I find to be more punchy than the UAD Fairchild (haven’t tried any other Fairchild emulations). The Puigchild 670 is what I use the most from their stuff, with the Rvox coming in at a close second. If Waves is what you can afford, you can’t go wrong. ![]() ![]() This is my attitude now with plugins, particularly with the big names, because they're always pushing something new and always pushing some sort of sale. So if there's not something specific you know about and actively want then I'd save your money. There's no reason ever to pay anything full price. It's got the CLA plugs which I miss for certain things, Vocal Rider which is a huge time saver, and H-Delay which is really nice.Īlso, the sales are indeed perpetual. ![]() If you are going for a bundle I'd wait/save to get Horizon at least. I might give in eventually, but for now I'm in a "screw you waves" kinda mood. The dreaded Waves update plan wants $250 from me to update my library for my new M1 machine and tbh I haven't paid it yet. If you do start on the Waves journey though, you must be aware that if you update your machine or OS you may end up paying to continue using your software. IMO you're better off getting individual ones you're particularly interested in and using your DAW's stock plugs for experimenting with. There are a lot of Waves plugs I like, but most of them don't come in the bundles. ![]()
